Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy covers individual learner plans bought on studibuddi.ai and paid through Payfast. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Plans

Free trial: every new learner account gets 7 days free. No payment details are taken, so nothing is charged when the trial ends. Access pauses until a plan is chosen.
Exam season: R150 once-off, with access until 31 December of the year it is bought. It does not renew.
Monthly: R99 per month, renewing automatically each month until cancelled.
Year: R500 per year, renewing automatically each year until cancelled.

Prices are in South African Rand and are shown on the pricing page.

2. Cancelling

Cancel a Monthly or Year plan any time from the Billing page while signed in, or by emailing tyrone@studibuddi.ai.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Access continues until the end of the month or year already paid for.
The Exam season pass is a single payment, so there is nothing to cancel.
A parent or guardian who paid for a learner can cancel by emailing us from the address the receipt was sent to.

3. Refunds

7-day cooling-off: in line with the Consumer Protection Act, you may cancel within 7 days of your first payment for a plan and receive a full refund, provided no significant use has been made of the paid service in that time.
After the 7 days, cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Unused days are not refunded pro rata.
A payment taken in error or charged twice is refunded in full.
We may offer further refunds at our discretion, case by case.

4. Requesting a refund

Email tyrone@studibuddi.ai with the learner's account email, the email the receipt went to, the payment date and amount, and the Payfast payment ID from the receipt if you have it. Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method through Payfast.
